Its been an amazingly busy week; Lecturers on Monday and Tuesday,a presentation given on age related changes in physiology of an endurance athlete. My first Swim Analysis sessions of the winter on Tuesday, School Cross Country and Turbo training on Wednesday, meetings after work on Thursday and Essay writing on Friday. Qualification is just the start
Great news this week, i've qualified for the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championship in Denmark and the European Aquathlon Championship in Slovakia. This will be my third year as a GBR Age Grouper and have really enjoyed the whole experience . Meeting some great and inspiring people.. Field Testing and a Long Lab Ride
Another busy week, two days a Uni and helped out with some field testing with the Football and Basketball Academy students. Winter Arrives
The cold is here, the dark nights are here and the season seems a distant memory and distant future in equal measure. We are discussing the difference in Critical Power and Functional Threshold Power in my lectures and practical lab sessions. One has a lot of Scientific review and study behind it and the other has been the focus on one or two studies in the past 20 years. Which is commonly used blindly; to very good effect.
